What Paper Stock Should You Use?
Gloss coated — the most common choice. Colours pop, images look sharp, and the surface is easy to wipe clean. Good for anything you want to look polished: brochures, sell sheets, rack cards.
Matte coated — no shine. Easier to read in bright light, feels more upscale than gloss. Popular for premium brand materials and anything with a lot of body copy.
Uncoated — standard office paper weight or heavier. Takes writing and stamps well. Right for forms, instruction sheets, and anything that needs to be written on.

Gloss has a shiny surface — colours are vivid and images pop. Matte has no shine — more subdued, easier to read in bright light, feels more premium. For most event flyers and promotional materials, gloss is the standard. For brand brochures and sell sheets, matte is increasingly popular.
Yes. Single-sided or double-sided (duplex) on all flyer and brochure products. Double-sided is standard for tri-fold and bi-fold brochures. Specify when you order.
A tri-fold brochure is a single sheet folded into three panels. Set your document up as one page at 8.5×11″, then design each third as a panel. Add 0.125″ bleed on all outside edges. The fold lines don’t need to be marked — just divide your design into thirds. If you’re unsure, call us before you finalize the file.
